More with Authentique's Thrilling

Yep, I am back with another Halloween layout...you all know how much I adore Halloween paper crafting.  It my favorite time of year to create.  There are lots of great lines out their this year...but I love Authentique's Thrilling.
I am not super happy with how this photographed, hard to get blacks, greys and neutrals to photograph well.  Plus the photo I scrapped has those colors too!  In person, I adore how it turned out...so cute..almost as cute as that little puppy in the picture!

Thanks for stopping by and you can see a full list of ingredients at

Lots of layering, a little orange mist, a fun folded flower, a few MFT Dies and two adorable little trick or treaters.  Yep, it is my favorite time of year to scrap...let the Halloween paper crafting season begin!  Make sure to stop by the Scraptown Lady store to check out all of the new arrivals!

I had a gorgeous photo of my friend's girls walking along the railroad tracks...when I saw this shot I knew that Scraptown Lady had the perfect line for this..and yes, it worked perfectly!

Gorgeous fun!

Inspiration Elevator Reveal

Inspiration Elevator

You may recall that the purpose of this challenge group is to take our scrapbooking to the next level, to stretch our creative process and to grow as artists by embracing challenges that make us think, work and grow. You can view all of the challenges our new Inspiration Elevator Blog, here.
This month, the very creatively-minded Christa issued the challenge and here's what she wrote:

Part of growth is learning new techniques. And I do mean NEW. Sometimes we are afraid to try something or get in a rut..but for the August reveal I am asking that you find a technique WITH a video and include the link in your post. Learn something new. Share where you learned it and then share what you learned and your creation. I hope this is challenging for you...it might take some time to think about!
You do not need to make your OWN video just share the one you used to create your technique. If possible be sure to get permission from the maker of that video so we can be respectful!
Pinterest has some great videos.

This was a tough challenge for me...but I ended up having a lot of fun with it and lots of experimenting (also lots went in the trash)!
Here is what I came up with:
It is a very simple layout..but I wanted the focus to be on the darling photo and the technique.  I bought a set of gelatos and tried lots of techniques...some were just too messy for me and I just couldn't quite give in to the whole unkempt look I was getting.  After lots of playing, I ended up loving this!  Here's the link to the video:
and another to a video that I loved but couldn't find the glaze anywhere in our small town to try this..but I will be trying it!

I hope you will stop by and see what the  rest of the incredible Inspiration Elevator designers have created:
If you feel inspired to play along with Christa's challenge this month, please share it using the linky tool on our Inspiration Elevator blog and/or our Inspiration Elevator Facebook page. We'd LOVE to see what you made!

Sharing July Publications!

So thrilled to have 6 cards picked up for publication in the July issue of CARDS magazine...super sad that this issue is not in print though.  As of July, all of Northridge's publications are all digital.  Sad!  I enjoy these magazines so much, I still have everyone I have every purchased.  They are my favorite and I will miss sitting down with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and being inspired by all the wonderful designers.  They will continue to be online, just not the same for me!

 Two cards for wedding!

 One for Notebook paper.
 Two for home!

And one for the great outdoors!
They do such a beautiful job with photography and props, wish you could see the finished product.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

Just playing..using some LYB!

I really haven't taken the time to play with Little Yellow Bicycle products since I owned the store in Rapid.  Lynne at Scrappin' Ladies in Pierre had both of these lines (Fern & Forest, boy and girl) and needed some samples...what I discovered is how much I have missed working with LYB's amazing products. I can't wait to play with their new lines, Feels Like Home (fall) and Making Merry (Christmas)..they are a must have.

Love this line and can't wait to play again!  Thanks for stopping by today!

I loved working with this line, gorgeous patterns and soft colors.  I tried to add a title with my Silhouette Sketch pens but they thought differently.  I wanted the title to be
"All things grow with love".
But I think you can't certainly tell that is the thought  behind this layout.
Make sure you hop through and enjoy the work of the Muses and this gorgeous new line!
